It’s funny, but even though all you can remember is this place, it feels like you’ve never been here before. Why does it feel that way? Well, probably because it’s true. Sssh, don’t tell; this is a giant experiment, one you can’t get out of. We care about you here in Harmony, and you’re very important to us. We hand picked you from your world, because there was just something about you. We know you will be helpful. It’s important that you feel at home. Almost like you’re not in an experiment at all. So we’re going to give you a new set of family, friends, and memories. Because, don’t forget – we care about you. We want you to feel at home, seeing as from now on, this is your home. So here’s the gist – your character was plucked from their world, and brought to this one. It’s unclear if it’s an alternate dimension or even a different planet. The place has similar atmosphere and appearances as Earth, but how would you ever know if it was or not? From there, something happened to their memory. It’s not clear how that happened, either. All you know is there is a little scar, on your neck, right below your hairline. Maybe you had it before. Or maybe, it has nothing to do with your memory. You have no idea. After you were brought here, and your memory erased, a new one was implanted. Some got a new brother or sister, some got new friends, and some even got new spouses or fiancés. It’s weird, really. You feel like you know them so well, and at the same time, like you don’t know them at all. You have a job, and a place to live. You have a memory of going to school at Harmony High, and parents that have died peacefully. You remember every aspect of this place, because after all, you’ve lived here since you were born. In addition to all that, from time to time, you’ll get a call from the Doctor’s office. You’ll come in, they’ll give you a supposedly harmless shot, and you’ll be on your way. Vampires, werewolves, and more exist. They have been known to the government for a long time, and now they are coming out of the shadows - and they come with a message. They are not a threat. They mean no danger to humans. But there are other things out there that do. The days that followed changed everything most people believed they knew about the world, about history, and most importantly, about themselves. Celebrities, politicians, the family down the street - they began revealing their true identities, and telling the world what they really were. Missing people that had been turned against their will came out of hiding, and orginizations popped up to reunite them with their families. The revealing of the supernatural was penned in the media as the Light of May, as society made room for the supernatural. It wasn't easy. Many, human and supernatural alike, were terrified of what this would mean. Some wanted to keep the supernatural abominations down. Leading figures of both Democratic and Republican parties were revealed to be supernaturals themselves, and joined together to fight for civil rights for the supernatural. It is revealed that if the supernatural were wiped out, half of the entire world's population would be gone. Independent parties popped up through-out the country, opposing supernatural rights, and the fight goes on. But those aren't the only battles being fought. Why did the Light of May happen? If the supernatural has always existed, why are they only making themselves known now? For centuries, those with supernatural blood have been hunted, held, and killed - all for the benefits of their blood to hunters, and vampires who don't want to play by the rules of etiquette. There was a time when the angels, and even the fae, fought to protect them. But the fae have been extinct for hundreds of years, and worse - the angels seem to have disappeared. There is nothing fighting the demons of the world at bay now. The human race is at risk, and they are not alone. _________________________ The Light of May is an original supernatural game, taking place in a time when the world is adjusting to the world that has been hidden since the beginning of time. The game is set in Ann Arbor, Michigan, centered around a fictional township called Scarlet Oak. Characters of many races are up for play, as are those trusty humans. The Light of May will be focusing on characters adjustments and the eventual struggle against demons, hunters, and more. The Light of May is for original characters only. rpgads [ exodusrpgmods ]	2:13a	Exodus "The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches...born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies...and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not...and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survive..."-The Prophecy Our story begins as 1980 dies, as the final year of the first war against Voldemort is underway. Lord Voldemort and his followers strike fear into the hearts of all. Giants and werewolves serve the Dark Lord, doing his bidding. The Death Eaters roam free, killing Mudbloods, Muggles, and Blood Traitors as they please. Hundreds have died and disappeared. As each day passes, the resistance grows weaker. Voldemort seems to be invincible and all hope is lost. That is until a Prophecy was made; a child with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies to those who have thrice defied him and with a power that the Dark Lord will not understand. This child would bring an end to Voldemort’s reign. And so the Dark Lord set out to kill this child before he can grow into a threat. The problem lay in discovering the child, for two couples who had twice defied the Dark Lord were expecting children, both due in July. In order to seek the answer, Lord Voldemort kidnapped the Unspeakable assigned to the Prophecy, assuming that there he would find the truth, but the Dark Lord did not expect Marlene McKinnon to be brave enough to deceive him. How could a child born to either the Potters or the Longbottoms be the supposed Prophecy child when their parents had only defied him twice? And the probability of them doing it a third time was inconceivable, who would be foolish enough to defy the Dark Lord that many times? She insisted that a wizard as great as he was, was foolish to waste his time on the silly words of a false seer; she believed the prophecy was false. With that lie, the children remained momentarily safe with their parents none the wiser to the fate that potentially awaited their children. Until the night of the Autumn Equinox; Halloween, 1980, when Lily and James Potter will once again defy the Dark Lord Voldemort and make the Prophecy a reality. Now the Dark Lord hunts for the couple and their son, his focus distracted from his original goal of ridding the world of those whom he found to be unworthy; all that matters now was his immortality. This leaves room for the resistance to grow stronger. And just as it seems that there is no hope for the Potters to come out of this alive, Alice and Frank Longbottom thrice defy Voldemort, sending them into hiding as well. The fate of the Wizarding World lies in the hands of two small infants and a group of vigilantes working for Dumbledore. How can they stand a chance against Voldemort and all of his forces? It’s time to find out. Exodus is a canon compliant RPG set in the Era of the Marauders, which follows the lives of James and Lily Potter, Frank and Alice Longbottom, the Order of the Phoenix, the Dark Lord Voldemort, and his Death Eaters during the final year of the war. Though the so-called Golden Age of King Char and Queen Ella is long over- so long ago now that few are still alive who can remember it- life continues on much as it ever did. Merchants travel the lands far and wide, finding new and exotic goods to bring back to Greenville, the town just outside the royal palace. Greenville's markets are thriving, and most of the town's inhabitants pay little mind to the castle looming in the distance. That is, of course, until The Gray Death appears. There is no known cure. Sufferers initially feel very weak, and are soon not even able to get out of bed. Overcome by fever, their complexions turn gray and they die. Still, Greenville believes it is safe- there are just rumors of the illness, and being so close to the castle, they're safe, right? Wrong. The illness knows no boundaries, a fact that is brought starkly to light when the King of Frell contracts the disease and dies a short time later. The King leaves behind a land in limbo- his wife, the Queen, is trying her level best to keep power from the hands of their immature son. Heroes search for a cure, trying to avenge their fallen King. Life in Greenville continues on, if a bit more cautiously. Life in the court, however, is marked by ambition and intrigue. Courtiers' motives are far from pure, and ambitions are on the rise. No one is sure who will emerge victorious. Happily ever after was never a guarantee. Fair is an original character role playing game inspired by Ella Enchanted, Fairest, and The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine. The game takes place in the world created by those books, but no canon knowledge is required or expected. A thin layer of dust covers everything. There are no panes of glass in the windows. The virus. You remember now. They told you stasis was a precaution. Only a few weeks. A month, at best. Let them get the virus under control. Standing beside your pod, legs shaking from disuse, you feel a sense of apprehension creeping over you. Your heart beats even faster now.
